  • Deputy Branch Manager - Cairo (selections closes on June 2024)

    As a resident mng you apply mechanical knowledge and deliver services during the evaluation of design, manufacturing and (pre-)commissioning civil, mechanical and electrical equipment. You also help optimizing and/or improving the mechanical performance and reliability of existing project.

    Your key areas of responsibility are to:

    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of specifications and requisitions for design and manufacturing in Egypt;

    • Support equipment manufacturers in applying knowledge of Egypt standards and design codes for high pressure equipment, such as ASME and CEN;

    • Ensure that equipment manufacturers are delivering in accordance with the defined quality level and raise site observations and non-conformance reports where works are faulty or non-compliant with the contract;

    • Contribute to risk assessments prior to contracting and monitoring of risks through project execution;

    • Prepare and participate in pre-award meetings, kick-off meetings, pre-inspection meetings and inspections for supply of proprietary equipment;

    • Ensure the supply of deliverable as defined in the scope of work and services are in accordance with the schedule as agreed upon by all parties involved;

    • Realize the defined activities within the approved budget;

    • Work on parallel different phased projects. Team member of multi-disciplinary teams. Planning of own activities in consultation with customers, acquisition, the Project Manager,  team members and report to the management;

    • Supply creative solutions in mechanical and equipment design and propose updates to the Mechanical Engineering Design Manual, General Specifications and the standard equipment data sheets, accordingly;

    • Propose improvements to existing work practices, processes, procedures and instructions and to optimize these. This also based on reported experiences and findings; 

    • Support continuous improvement by evaluating realized projects and contributing to manufacturer improvement and qualification programs.

     

    Candidate requirements:

    • Bachelor level in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of equipment and applications in chemical plants;

    • Minimum 2/5 years of work experience in the industries

    • Willing and able for long term deployments along Egypt, time by time;

    • Broad knowledge of materials (carbon steels and stainless steels) and corrosion phenomena, welding, PWHT, NDE, ASME BPVC, procurement, manufacturing planning and sequences;

    • Knowledge of mechanical drafting tools e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, Plant3D;

    • Knowledge of mechanical calculation tools e.g. PV Elite, DIMy, CAESAR;

    • Knowledge of the inspection expertise of third party inspections companies;

    • Knowledge of related fields e.g. flow sheeting, P&IDs, isometrics;

    • Knowledge of ESA/HAZOP studies and the Cactus method, Basic Safety Course;

    • Will actively contribute to the health, safety, and welfare of self and others through identification and reporting of potential health and safety hazards in the workplace;

    • Can effectively influence at various levels of organizations;

    • Good command of written and spoken English.

  • Senior accountant - Cairo (selections closes on June 2024)

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

    To be successful as a Senior Accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding Senior Accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.

    Candidate responsibilities:

    • Coordinating accounting functions and programs.

    ​We are looking for a skilled Welder Supervisor to facilitate the smooth completion of construction projects. As part of your duties, you will need to ensure the following:

    • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in welding and cutting of products and structures, such as auto, aircraft, and ship components, pipes, boilers, and mobile homes, applying knowledge of welding and cutting techniques, materials, and equipment, and fabrication requirements: Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine need for supplies and sequence of operations required.

    • Requisitions supplies, such as weld rods, gas, flux, and fixtures.

    • Inspects work or confers with Weld Inspector I and Weld Inspector II to maintain specified standards and quality.

    • Trains workers in operation of equipment.

    • May set up machines or make trial welds to make test runs and experimental products.

    • May supervise brazing and soldering operations.

    • May supervise fitting and assembly of structural frames.

    • May supervise workers engaged in making tubing from flat steel strips by electric-weld process and be designated Welding Supervisor, Electric-Weld Pipe Mill.

    • Important variations include location of workers supervised, such as in-plant, job-shop, construction site, or shipyard.
